just saying hello

Geez, Randall!! I used The GIMP proggy in LINUX for that!

the car is about 93% original. Floor pans and trunk pan the only body pieces replaced. My dad put every part that was in good shape back on. Original motor and I believe the trany is to but he may have put trany out of TR6. I know he was talking about it

My grandfather has 2 Tr6's that he might want to sell they are project cars that my dad was doing for him so he will probably sell them now if anyone has any interest in a new project car

pics up in triumph pics now thanks to DrEntropy

how do you do links? I've never done that before.
In the full reply screen (after you click on 'Reply' or 'Quote'), in the row of icons immediately above the typing area, the 4th icon from the left is to insert an image link. Click on it, choose one one of the options (I just use non-floating), and enter the URL to the image.

In this case, I first went to Triumphowners.com, found the photo I wanted to link to, and used right-click/properties to get the URL, then did a copy/paste into the BCF dialog.

But I'm solidly on the dark side, no doubt it's easier with a Mac

Close enough. I meant "photoshop" in the generic sense, like Kleenex; not that you had literally used Adobe Photoshop.

thanks for the help TR3driver and if it wasn't for the fact I wanted to record music with my laptop I'd of never bought this impossible to use mac book

ummm... err... *Linux* there's this free *Linux* software in Linux *Linux* called "RhythmBox" *Linux* which will *Linux* allow music recording *Linux* on a Linux machine. *Linux*

...was that a bit too subtle? :smirk:

hahahahahahahaha Naw by no means, you got the point across

But I have suh a forget full memory whats the programs name again???????????????

Likewise any number of packages for Windoze, both free and otherwise. But it's been so long since I've done any, that I don't recall what I used and liked. And it wasn't on this machine.

Audacity looks good, though.

It was my daily driver for some 20 years, drove it to work almost every day (when it was running). On my way home one day, not paying as much attention as I should (had a hot date), the traffic stopped. I stopped, of course, but the fellow behind me wasn't paying attention and didn't stop :cryin:

I overheard him telling the CHP that he was looking down to get a Coke, not watching the road, so all the brake lights in the world (I had 4 of them, two red & two yellow) would not have helped.

Looked up and saw him just milliseconds before he hit, but couldn't get out of his way (into the carpool lane) fast enough. 4 car pileup (he pushed me into the car in front of me, who hit the SUV in front of her), but I was the only one with major damage. Was only insured to $8K (my bad) and the body shop estimate was $12K, so it got retired. The frame might be repairable, but the tub accordioned at both A-post & B-post, plus of course the front & rear aprons were mangled beyond hope. The good news is I got to keep the car, so I can eventually rob the OD gearbox, gear drive starter, alloy flywheel, sway bars, etc. from it. It's already donated carbs, brakes, control head, stator tube and "compact" spare to the project plus a little bit of capital from selling a door & fender.

So, I picked up TS13571L on eBay and I'm starting over with it. Drove it to work yesterday and today! Still needs a lot of work, but at least the overheating problem is solved. I held 80 mph (estimated) for about 5 minutes today, and the gauge only rose to 170F. On surface streets it held 165F.

well that deffinatly sux my friend.

Not to long after my dad got the 250 running we went on a long cruise and a RV pulled right out in front of us ruined the bran new front tires with flat spots but luckly didn't wreck. (thankfully for the RV driver cause my dad would have probably beat em' to death)

Hey liljohn, try Photobucket for your pics. It's easy, free, can upload as many pics as you want (I think I'm up over 600 now hahaha) and you can resize, auto-correct, etc from photobucket.....also gives you URL links to post pics, email, etc.

BEAUTIFUL car by the way!!

Thanks for the info and the complements
