Hi....I just today got this MGA
https://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=4027793&a=32138974&f=0

It was a barnfind (airplane hanger) and was last registered in 1984 ,
the head is off the motor , rebuilt and never installed ,

What is the best way to get the motor to turn over ?

I was figuring filling up the cylinder holes with ATF and letting that lossen the rings etc.

Its for sale / trade in the classifieds , I had to buy it , (you know the old car pox /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) but I am not really in love with it....(yet)

thanks for the help

Maybe so, but just loosening the engine is the FIRST thing I need to do,

especially since it needs to sit for days / weeks

How much you asking?... I have a dificult time (for whatever stupid reason) finding particular vehicles in the classifieds here.

Looks like a decent project in the one pic you posted.

That was one heck of a find, looks like it is most all there even.

You know I remember when those were new, we thought they were very cool even then.

Pour the cylinders full of some type break free & let it sit

"Road Film."

All my cars have road-film - hehehehehe.
