The Legends car show is in town for the annual car show.
There is only one British car, a 62 Sprite.
It's a nice little Sprite, even though it has a Weber downdraft carb installed :emmersed:
The grille however has a big rectangular hole cut out right in the center.
I saw it and thought, hey I have one of those in my shed...
So I went back and grabbed it and put it in a plastic bag and included a note that said:
"I noticed the hole in your grille, if you like this one it's yours" (I included my phone number)
According to the info sheet hanging from the windshield he lives here in Snoqualmie.
Just thought I'd try and help out a fellow Spridget guy, and hey if there are other owners here in this small town that I don't know yet that's just not right!

that's a nice gesture rick...there was another thread about what's a radiator worth. I like your style, if you don't need it, give it to someone that does. Mike (texassprite), gave me a 948 flywheel. These are very hard to find and he could have charged me a lot, but he didn't need it, so he gave it to me. Good karma (for lack of a better word).

Looking at that car, i like that front bumper... will a 62 bumper fit on a bugeye?

Hole in grill may be for hood latch.

If so I hope he calls, first because you can unlatch it through one of the slits if you know what you are doing and second because I'd enjoy another Spridget friend.

Hole in grill may be for hood latch.

I would bet on it! Happens fairly often.

I've found that if you break the bonnet pull cable you can reach in through the left fender well with a piece of stiff wire and unlatch it.

Kurt.

My thought is everyone in Snoqualmie knew each other.... Nice gesture..You got more value from the deal than the receiver.....
