Please forgive my ignorance on this.. But looking at a carborated TR8 on Ebay just now got me thinkin'
How can my 4 cyl. TR7 run with two ZS carbs, and this 8 cyl. TR8 also only run with two?
Just somthing that made me go HUMMMMM !!

Most TR8s I see have long since ditched the twin ZSs and now have a single Holley or Edelbrock(Carter) sitting on top of an aluminum manifold. It's an easy way to give much more horsepower.
 
Not to mention those Holleys and Carters/Edelbrocks are much easier to tune. Sometimes I wish I could make up a manifold to fit my old Holley 650 double pumper on the TR6, although that much gas would probably drown the motor. Offhand, does anyone know what the CFM rating of a single stock ZS carb is?
