I must be crazy. I saw an 88.5 XJ-6 on E-Bay...and only bid because its here in New Mexico. Parked in a garage for three years, dark blue with grey leather. Very nice condition. Guy has owned it a long time and other than a battery from sitting and possibly belts and hoses for the trip...its ready. Has a left tail lite module glitch...everything works. Sunroof, a/c...everything. No rust as it has only lived in Az. and NM. Think I got stung for $676.00??? Guess I'll fire up my truck and hook the car trailer to it and get ready for a 700 mile round trip.

no, $676.00 is about right for a 1988 XJ-40 which is the first year for the XJ-40 and the first year for the "Digital Jaguar", (a few problem 'chips' or IC's in the dash and other modules), and just before Ford liked the company so much they bought it. So you have a REAL non-ford Jaguar, the last of the real ones made by Jaguar. The 1988 has problems with the self-leveling rear suspension, a kit is available to revert/modify it to normal shock abosorbers, not cheap. There's a company in New Mexico called JagBits who can get you all the parts you might need. Good luck and enjoy it.
