Hey, all... Tim here in Atlanta. A pretty nice '73 MGB fell into my lap several weeks ago. The owner said she had become the MG owner she used to hate, having let the car sit for almost two years. I'm going through all the things one would expect, getting to know it (and Haynes and Bentley) better. The car knows it's own way to Atlanta Imported by now. So far, I've replaced the brake hoses, alternator belt, leaf springs (couldn't get the car home without scraping the muffler), air/oil filters, engine/tranny/differential oils... pretty much having a total blast getting grease under my fingernails and tinkering. Can't believe how much faster the projects list grows than I can get things done!
Took the new toy over to the British car show in Rome, GA last weekend and loved that I got waved at by other LBC owners. Took the longest backroad route I could figure out there and back, grinning the whole way. For a new MG owner, the show was a bit like taking a sip from a full-on fire hose; was drooling but happy by the time I left.
Well, I'm off to the MG forum to post my first question. LOVE my little MGB!
Best Regards,
Tim Walter
