Just returned from a beautiful ride. It's about 32 miles or so, all on excellent road surfaces. What you're looking at most of the time are the Rocky Mountains. Boulder is right up against the foothills of the Rockies so you can imagine the feeling - top down, temp right about 74 degrees, wind blowing through your hair, or in my case, what's left of it, you know what I mean. I had her cruising at 90 mph for a bit. WOW, those pipes were hummin'.

This is why we love our LBC's so much.

amen

That is why we do what we do!

Soon............ I'll be doing that again soon...........I have to keep reminding myself......soon

Is Shirley your car or your significant other? My wife hates my car (wind, sun, noise) for all the reasons that I love it. One can read into that if one wants to.

Cool. Can't wait to get mine back on the road. As soon as I repair the cracked differential mount I will be driving.

Bill,
Shirley is my wife. We met and were married in 1968 when I had a 67 GT6. She loved that car and I think she likes the roadster even better. I have to admit I am a very lucky man. All I hear is "are we going for a ride tonight?" and I suffer thru it all! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Got a great show coming up here, hosted by the MG club but open at all old imports, looking forward to it!

Sunday is "British by the Sea" hosted by the Ct MG club Waterford, Ct

Looks like we may get rain thou........... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cryin.gif

weather is gunna be ify here too.....if it's rainy I'll take the Jag

I think it's rained or threatened rain the last three years of the British by the sea show. Its raining today and it's suppose to rain tomorrow. I think my 3A starts to rust even if it thinks it's gonna rain.

A couple of years ago I traded my MGB roadster for a Stag. The Stag needed some help. It took about a year to get it on the road and was promptly taken over by my son. He's had fun driving it, but we decided last year that the Ford V6/Auto trans was tired. Last week we finished the Ford 289/SROD 4 speed conversion. It then needed to be off to the paint shop. It gave me the opportunity to get it out on the road to see how it went. I gave it gas and IT WENT!
Can't wait to get it back from the paint shop and enjoy cruising in it. I'm going to insure it on a collector policy, so my son (19 yrs old) is going to have to give it up for a while. I also got my little '34 English Ford out for a short spin. A pretty good week! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

We lucked out at the British by the sea show in Waterford Ct on Sunday.
It looked like it was gunna rain, but held off till we got home.
Ended up getting some great pix and had a real nice time talking with all the LBC owners.
All and all was a very nice day
