So, had a call from my sister last week. Her oldest (my nephew) Had prom and was going with girlfriend, girlfriend's best friend and her boyfriend. Only problem was "boyfriend" was planning to drive. Even though these are good kids who don't drink, prom is out of town and the opportunities for misadventure were just too great. So, my brother in law says, "Maybe JP has a contact who has an interesting car who might be willing to loan said car to him (JP) or drive." Hence the phone call. So, I sent an email to the club and, sure enough. A friend with a Rolls came through. Picked the kids up - had half the neigbourhood out taking photos, more to the point, when they arrived at prom, at just the right moment - when everyone else was arriving in their "rented" limos. The other kids went crazy! Apparently my friend couldn't even leave for the kids who wanted their pics taken with the car. Doubly wonderful as my nephew (and his girlfriend) are both pretty quiet kids - and now the absolute centre of attention.

So, gotta love people who make special memories, and gotta love the friends in this hobby. Oh and his wife even put flowers in the vases - which coincidentally matched the girls dresses.

First is my nephew and his date - second is friends - even a certain retro theme!

That is awesome! First you had me thinking, "How is JP gonna fit all those kids in the Midget?"

Whoever owns that Rolls is a top notch guy!

kudo's to you JP and the Rolls owner, that's another star in your crown:applause:

Hats off to everyone who made it possible for these kids... what memories!

I have a friend whose uncle owned a number of Rollses (Rollss Rolls, not sure how the plural is spelt), anyway his uncle loaned him is 55 Silver Cloud for prom. It is a very cool thing when someone does a thing like that for a kid.

Very cool! that was perfect. Love the retro outfits your nephew and his date are wearing. That car was the perfect match

Neat story. Kudos.

Great story JP!! You get a gold star for that one! Such a super thing to do for those kids! They'll remember that for the rest of their life. PJ

:iagree: Real class all around.

The hairs on my arms are sticking up. That is just way too cool and the owner must be someone pretty special! I'm in love with the car and in awe of the owner...
