Most of the kids that were the (so called), snobby types wound up in the gutter and most of the ones the snobs called low life types, hard working farm and country boys & girls, wound up on top of the pile, lawyers, doctors, shop owners, business men, etc! Don't know what happened to me, I never stopped working! :jester: PJ
 
Every now and again, I have to respond on the forum for Dad. For his part, he would have said he'd visit a high school reunion, and he was looking forward to his 50th.

What Dad would say, were he typing today: go back, and drive a cooler car to the reunion than everyone else!

I left my high school area as soon as I graduated, haven't been back much, and I live about 1500 miles away. But I did have 'my gang' of buddies back then and we are as close as ever. One of them is struggling through multiple myeloma now and when 4 of us got together a couple of months ago to cheer him up it surprisingly wound up cheering me up as well - I just hope a few of the pictures we took during that visit never show up on the internet!
 
About a 30 minute drive away within the city of Calgary, don't know how much exact driving distance... But it's an area of the city I rarely visit anymore, just don't have any real reason to, that's all...

To be fair I have lived in other places than Calgary, so I have experienced other regions... We did have a reunion this past summer, I had been thinking of attending but forgot to write it down so only remembered a few days after it had happened... :lol:
 
2300 miles from where I grew up, and no real intention of ever moving back. Just passed my 20th high school reunion (couldn't make it, though I did make the 10th) in 2010. Left after high school for college and the wider world and never really looked back. Still make it back to visit as my parents are still in the general area.

Do still keep in touch with some folks from those days though.
 
I pretty much moved out after graduating high school. Summers during college I was kind of a visitor the house. I e mailed some friends from high school, after we mentioned jobs and children we had little more to say. Right now I'm in Arizona having left Fairview Park Ohio in 1964. I have Facebook friends that are former students, but none are highs school friends.
