An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out Of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.

I saw that guy driving yesterday - he was waiting for
the stop sign to turn green.
These are the kind of people who swim 3/4 the way accross
a river,decide they can't make it,so they turn around & swim back
to shore.
