I bought my MG-TF in 1964. It had been raced and was in tough shape. The 1500 engine had been replaced with a 1250 TD 2. After some work I drove the car until 1981 at which time I decided to do a complete restoration. After stripping the car and hanging everything in the barn, I was offered a new job and a move out of California to New York, then England, then North Carolina, then back to New york, then back to NC, etc. 38 years later I am living in Virginia and at last I have begun to restore my TF. I have forgotten
how some things fit together. and find other things have changed over the years, so it will be a challenge. I look forwared to having a drive on the Blue Ridge this fall.

Don’t despair Bill. You will find plenty of friendly knowledgeable help in the MG section of the forum. Post some pics of your car.

Hello Bill

Welcome to the forum

You will get plenty of tips and advice for your reassembly project from the MG section. It will be like a jigsaw puzzle. As things go together other parts will be more obvious and remind you where they go.
