TR6 Journy to long island for a TR6 Hardtop

So I spotted a TR6 hardtop on craigslist a few weeks ago on long island that was actually in my price range (I check quite a distance around myself when I'm part-hunting) It's a bit of a haul from where I am, but hard tops are getting harder and harder to find.

It's not in the best condition, but it's all disassembled, and has had some rust-repairs done to it, but all the non-replaceable parts appear to be there, and like I mentioned above, it's in my price range. The owner sent me a bunch of photos of it, and it looks like a few hundred bucks and a paint job should get it back into good working order.

The owner tried to get photos of all the areas that rust had been repaired, and the areas that may still need some attention. Seeing the detailed photos I decided that it was the one for me.

Other than a headliner, some rubber gaskets, and a piece of chrome trim or two, can anyone spot anything missing?

It looks complete. If you are short anything, I have some spares that you can have, if you want them and if I can find where I put them.

Yeah, that dates the last-known-use of it to at least 1983, it's a 10th anniversary sticker for the society.

Looks like the only pieces missing are the rubber trim parts, one side chrome piece, and the rivet holders for the chrome pieces. A few of the other pieces are in poor enough shape that they ought to be replaced, including one of the chrome elbows, the headliner, and probably the gaskets around the glass, though those might be recoverable, and save me 150 to 200 bucks by not having to replace them. We'll see as i get to cleaning it.

Here's a request, it may deserve it's own thread apart from this, but does anyone have photos of TR6s with factory hard tops AND the factory boot cover that was designed to go with the hard top? I've only been able to find one photo so far, as apperantly the boot covers designed for use with both the soft and hard tops were very rare, and are even rarer today, but... I've got one of those boot covers, but am not sure how it is supposed to look with the hardtop !.

Looks pretty good to me - you've go all the bits you can't buy. I've just found a hard top in the UK and purchased all the seals etc from Rimmers (https://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID007033). I bought a new headlining from a guy in the uk called Terry Murphy (terrymurphy@hotmail.com) through e-bay. The headlinig looks pretty good and includes the side and centre rear finishing strips. He tells me he supplies Rimmers.

BL did publish instructions for fitting the hard top. Derek Graham, the UK TR register Tr6 registrar has these in electronic form if you need them (saffrontr).
