Alright guys...so we have officially joined the mini ranks. On Saturday we picked up a 1969 Austin Mini! I have been waiting for years to get my hands on one, and same with my dad...and finally something popped up!

We are very excited...and the work begins.

The mini was owned by another member on here...and has been passed on to good hands and a loving home.

The mini is known as the pumpkin mini with tthe firefly turbo engine, VW brakes and many other little things...I am very excited, so much so I am headed to go work on it today. lol.

Here is my car domain site: Check it out.

Kudos to BCF member, Carl ("Rulle 7"), for putting this up for adoption. And congrats to you and your dad for scoring this one. We look forward to hearing more!

Credit is due to Carl ("Rulle 7")! Thanks you so much!

Crazily enough after looking through the car domain site, I found the car's owner in 2000...with pics of it and all.

Here's a pic from 2000

Congrats!

I know the car, I actually took the photo Carl used to advertise the Mini... Back in my crappy camera days /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As I understand it, a guy in Saskatchewan did the engine installation, and that's where Carl purchased it from.

I never did get a ride in it... That photo was taken inside the repair garage yard where the car was stored at the time

And for offline support, you should check out the British Saloon Car Club of Canada, tons of support for an owner of a Mini (many Mini owners in membership), and the club is very active around the Toronto area... https://www.geocities.com/motorcity/7967

Well Colin, you're welcome. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
I got it from Regina, Saskatchewan.

Sherlock, too bad that you never got to take it for a ride, it's a little rocket. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif Thanks for the camera work!!
