Joe Hash?

Hi, I don't know if you all remember me, it's been a long time since I've posted on here, but I'll get right to my questions:

Is there a Joe Hash on this forum from the Blue Ridge Valley in Virginia? He owns a Triumph shop in a town called Grottos near me, and I thought maybe he'd be on here.

I remember you - where you been hiding? The name Joe Hash doesn't sound familiar, but then a lot of people don't use their real names on forums.

Joe has become a pretty close acquaintance of mine as he helps with restoration of my Triumph. They do excellent work and take pride in the job. Joe's phone number is 540-249-4950. His website is https://www.joehashstriumphltd.com/contact.asp

I felt very lucky to find such a great LBC shop in the neighborhood (he's 34 miles from me). Nicely equipped, VERY clean gargage, and very professionally managed. Joe is a retired Navy Sr. Chief Petty Officer and runs the place like a Navy boot camp!

You won't be disappointed with his work, I guarantee it. Please tell him I sent you, good luck with your car!

Aloha Webb,

Did you ever decide on which car to look for, Did you get one are you still searching? Inquiring minds want to know.

Safety fast,
Dave

Oh vagt6, you know Joe? I emailed him about possibly getting a job with him at his shop. You should recommend me to him :-D He is also very close to me, I'm in Waynseboro. Where are you at?

Dave, unfortunatly I'm still not quite ready to buy a car yet. There are a couple good TR4s in Maryland, which are about 3 hours away from me for under $10k that I would love to get. I will probably be getting a car this fall or winter when I am a good ways into my learners.

A TR4 is a nice choice, a fairly simple car with creature conforts (roll up windows). I'm glad to see young people interested in these older cars. Good luck Webb.

Safety Fast,
Dave

Yeah, I sincerly wished more young people were interested in old cars, or just cars period. There are so many idiots (I don't mean to be harsh, but when it comes to cars, that's exactly what they are) that think that nitrous (or commonly and erroneously called NOS [nitrous is a things, NOS is a company] by most people, who show there stupidity by calling it this) and a turbo make a great car: WRONG. Compared to most modern cars and standerds, LBCs are slow, uncomfortable, and unreliable. But in my book, that's not what makes a great car. Simply being fun to drive and look at makes them better than anything else, not to mention how fun (at times) it is to work on your own car.

Hey, Webb. My address is located at the bottom of my message -- I'm in Charlottesville.

Joe is always looking for a skilled mechanic or body person, especially folks who can work part-time or weekends. I do know he's getting really busy now with lots of LBC owners getting cars ready for the driving season. I'd say give him a yell and see what his needs are.

Good luck!

Well I emailed him, but he hasn't gotten back to me in about a week. I hope he isn't ignoring me. Does he normally turn down teenage help? Especially car-minded teenage help?
