A destitute man knocked on the door of a rather posh house. When the homeowner answered the door the man asked if there was something he could do to earn some money.
The owner thought for a moment and said, "Well, you could paint my porch for me. I'll pay you a hundred dollars if you'll do it. The porch is around back. You'll find the cans of new housepaint sitting there by the railing."
The destitute man thanked him and walked around to the rear of the house.
One half of an hour later, the man knocked on the front door again.
The homeowner said, "My goodness, you finished that job already?"
The destitute man said "Ya, it wasn't as big of a job as you led me to believe. Oh, by the way, that ain't a Porsche, that are a Mercedes!"
