Joan Crawford has risen from the grave

Or so says the lyrics to a song "Joan Crawford" on a best of Blue Oyster Cult Album I just bought. Have to admit I'd never heard that song before.

Fantastic piano part on that song.

BOC is a pretty underrated band. "Don't Fear the Reaper" is clearly their most well known song, both for the infamy of its message and then the Christopher Walken skit "More Cowbell". Their other songs are really good, too. "Godzilla" is my favorite. I always get a chuckle with the lyric "Oh no, there goes Tokyo, go go Godzilla!"

I'll admit, other than Reaper, Godzilla and Burnin' for You, I was not familiar with anything from BOC. I just bought their Greatest Hits in High Def (.flac files). Really sounds good.

I've always liked BOC; like Saxman I think my favorite song of theirs is "Godzilla," just because it is so much fun.
