Jensen FF [in winter weather!]

Leaving the grocery store this afternoon, I was astounded to see a Jensen Interceptor right in front of me (it's a snow and slush day after all), upon closer look I saw the two letters <i>FF</i> on the back of it, meaning Ferguson Formula... For those who don't know, this is the first passenger car to have all-wheel-drive, back in the late 1960's... And while the Interceptor rear-wheel-drive was sold here, the FF version of it never was, thus this car is right-hand-drive of course...

Anyway... The owner came out moments later, we talked briefly... He purchased it five years ago from a collector in Seattle... He told me that it's his only car and that he drives it all winter... <i>"Why not..."</i> he said with a wink, since it does have all-wheel-drive... He let me take a couple of photos as he pulled away...

When I bought my (first) Triumph Spitfire back around 76, there was a Jensen Interceptor in the showroom where I bought my Spit. I remember what a cool car it was, but way out of my price range at the time.

Someone who buys and FF from a collector, brings it Calgary, and uses it as a daily - as it was intended sounds like a very interesting guy.

This is the Canadian prairies, where they use far less salt on roads in winter...
