Jaybird I miss the saga of the B. Any more word on another one yet. Regards John. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

BOO! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Aww, ya missed me. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Has been a busy week. B is fine, other than blowing two more fuses on Saturday. Went to Auto Zone to buy some slow blow fuses, or 5 amps to try a 5 instead of a 3. Didn't have either. Was 75 here Tuesday, drove the wheels off her. Top's down, she's sitting in the garage because it's 30 here this morning!!!

And I've decided the hard start issue is definitely the carb. Now to decide if I should replace it with an SU or a downdraft Weber. Or rebuild the ZS that's in her. From what the guys at the car club meeting said Monday evening, they weren't big on rebuilding.

So it goes on and on. But hey, it's an MG, right?

Oooh, did enter the Easter Car Show at Forest Park in STL with her. Big parade into the park with all the cars at 9am. Should be fun. Gets me out of making a big Easter dinner too. Told the kids and their respective significant others that they could bring ham sandwiches and come visit us at the park. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Have put looking for a playmate for the B on the back burner for awhile. Is just too crazy around here now. 4 graduations in May (son with his Master's in genetic engineering, daughter from Wash U med school, dot's boyfriend from U of IL with his MBA, and a niece from high school), my mom's 80th birthday and son's wedding in June. I'm more concerned with a bloody vacation right now!!!

Replacing fuses is like treating a cold with Kleenex. Fixes the symptom, but does not cure the problem. You are going to have to start with a wiring diagram and the fuse circuit that is giving you problems and trace out the wires to the ends. Some where in the mess there is a bad connection or a weak ground. Find it and you will not have any more problems. On my car I bought a dozen of the black female connectors that the bullet ends on the wires snap into. Cleaned the bullet ends and replace the female connectors. Assembled each with dielectric grease and that took care of all my problems.
