Jan. 8 - So Cal - Boyd Coddington's

Finally, a So Cal event!

This Saturday, January 8, at 8:30 a.m., the Austin-Healey Association will be at Boyd Coddington's Hot Rod Factory in La Habra at 811 East Lambert. This event is open to the public, so there will definitely be a lot of other cars and clubs in attendance. Last year, besides Boyd's cars on display in the shop, there was an outstanding car show in the parking lot.

George Keens, his son David (red Hundred) and I (Healeyless) will be caravaning from the Huntington Beach Donut Derelicts show to Boyd's, departure time not yet determined.

All Healeys, LBC's and "others" invited to attend - one or both!

We need to start coordinating between clubs. The So cal MG Club is doing an event the same day at the Nethercutt Museum.

Sharon...what are they going to do if it's raining...which, I guess there is very good chance that might happen?!

Hi Henri,

How've you been? If you've seen my posts lately, you'll know why I haven't been pushing for a So Cal ride of late, but it sure would be fun to have one soon.

Re Saturday's shows, today's weather forecast predicts a lull in the storms on Saturday, but even if it does rain, Boyd Coddington's cars are on display inside his shop, which is a huge warehouse-type facility. If the weather isn't good enough, those attending the open house might leave their classic cars at home rather than show them off in the parking lot. Some may even skip the event altogether if the weather prevents them from getting their cars on the road, so it's hard to say how many will show up for sure - sorry.

As for Huntington Beach, if the Donut Derelict guys are nuts enough to be there at 6:00 a.m., /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif they're probably nuts enough to be there in the rain, too! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif Seriously, guess we'll have to wait 'til Saturday morning to see what the weather is doing and decide from there about attending/caravaning from Huntington Beach.
