Scott Pruett took the St. Petersburg Trans-Am "Streeets" race in a Jaguar XKR (on Feb 23). This car has an actual Jag-based engine, rather than the Ford-based engine of earlier XKRs. Boris Said came in 2nd in a Mustang and Miller finished 3rd in an even cooler looking XKR....I imagine Ford was pleased.

Last competative Jag (before the XKR) in a Trans-Am race was around '81, so it's good to see them back in the game.

The first Trans-Am race *I* saw was in '69 (at Bridgehampton).......and they were racing Mustangs *then* too!
