Jaguar moving east?

Looks like even the unions at Jaguar and Land Rover support Tata Motors' offer for the brands, according to the Financial Times and WSJ.

It would seem to be a good thing to have them made by a British firm.

To me Ford only made another Ford that happened to have the Jag name on them. A faux (fake) Jag.

I worked with Tata (They're based in India) back in a previous corporate life. Good outfit - Jaguar & LR could do worse.

But the global economy sure does make for strange bedfellows.
