Jag XJ Diesel ?

was just chatting with a friend in the UK who has a late 80s Jag XJ6 and he was thinking about having it converted to a Nissan Diesel powerplant and we had a good laugh until we found a website of a place in the UK that does just that! I was shocked and amazed, I'd never heard of a diesel powered XJ before and was wondering if anyone has done something like this on a car here in the States, maybee a Cummins Diesel powered XJ with a manual gearbox. I think it's a great idea, but I'm sure it would cost a fortune to convert and you could probably buy several hundred gallons of gas for what you'd need to invest in having the only Jag Diesel on the block

Jaguar now sells the cars new, with diesel power. I am not sure about the XJs, but I am certain about the Xtypes, and the S types. How bout that?
