Came through my fair city and crashed at our house. Great conversation over a beverage du jour.

Safe travel, J-P!

He crashed at your house? Yikes - was the aircraft damaged? :jester:

JP - hope to meet you in September.

Tom

OH NO!!! The dreaded Canadian invasion has started! :jester: I don't think we have much to worry about if it takes him a month to get from Ten to Con. :highly_amused:

Well actually, it's me who's heading to Ontario, on "the big trip". So ... Beware!

Hours of clergy talk.
Need a lot of "pops" to handle that:angel2:

now now. It was a great visit - and had lunch with Nelson in Medina to boot. All in all a great trip - lots of car talk, a general conversation. Thanks to both for hosting me! Hope to post some pics if I can upload them from my phone.

Actually would have been a great time to be there

I probably slept through something again. JP - how'd you decide to venture to Tennessee? Road trip? Pre-purchase inspection on a 1951 Buick?

Tom

slight side trip to pick up my beloved in Atlanta, then off on a couple weeks R&R. Buick is actually close to home but not on the radar for a few years yet. Finish the Vauxhall first and then we will see.

Well, picked up my beloved and are in Charleston SC. Went dowtown tonight, walked by the water, had a fabulous Blackened Mahi and local wheat beer. Weather is stunning and life is good.

Enjoy!

YAY!! JP, I s'pose it'd be a slog to get this far south without a purpose but if you find yerself in Floriduh give a heads-up!

Floriduh? I thought the correct spelling was Flaw-duh. I'm slipping.

Doc, how far are you from Andersonville/Camp Sumter (Civil War site) in Georgia?

Tom

L O N G way, Tom. Right around 350 miles.

So, update. Had a great day poking around Charleston, hit the road and ended up in Myrtle Beach in (i think) the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Didn't sleep much in part because the guests above seemed determined to break through the ceiling. This morning, got up and drove to Williamsburg where we are staying the week in a lovely - huge - timeshare at a per night rate less that the aforementioned pit. Time to relax! BTW spotted a Jag 420 crossing the big bridge in Charleston and a TR6 shortly thereafter, and, today saw a Volvo military truck (looks kind of like a forward control Land Rover but squarer on a trailer behind a UHaul. Can't be many of those in the USA.

You were in Charleston and didn't say!!

And I just realized where you live - sorry, could have easily dropped by - next time.

Bet you drove right by the entrance to the neighborhood
