Watched the NASCAR ARCA race yesterday, flag to flag.

Ms Patrick acquitted herself remarkably well. I just wish she hadn't LIKED it so much...
Real race cars don't have LIDS.

Mehehehe.. I'm just satisfied to see 'em turn right once in a while...

I wonder how Danica will be "welcomed" by NASCAR fans, if and when she moves up from ARCA. Strangely, forty percent of NASCAR fans are women (says The Richmnond Times-Dispatch today). That's a pretty big number.

Most likely, NASCAR's Bud drinkin', Marlboro smokin' women ain't gonna fall in love with the sexy vamp image that Danica has successfully crafted in the Indycar/IRL world where the demographics are TOTALLY different: a very small percentage of the fan base is female and they tend to drink chardonnay, not Bud Lite. They might as well be yacht racing fans, from a NASCAR perspective . . .

Obviously, IF Danica starts winning (I think she can whip many NASCAR drivers, on most tracks), things could be very good for her, maybe.

We'll see. I don't think Danica's handlers will keep her in NASCAR unless she has really good results, early on. If she bombs a few ARCA races, she'll be gone IMHO.

But I don't think NASCAR is ready for purty gurls driving their Detroit iron:nonod:

SO, what type of stereo should I put in my car?

I guess it does sound a bit stereotyped, but have you been to a NASCAR race lately?

All true. :yesnod:

NASCAR - N-on A-thletic S-port C-entered A-round R-acetracks <- the PC version! LoL

And she weren't th' only gurly driver in that race. Roundy-round lads just gonna have to get used to it. Reaction times are what count... Danni has some RAPID reactions, great hands. Quick kid!

In contrast I was NOT impressed with Nelson's drive.

I know the attention Speed Channel gave her is a bit much, I'm sure GoDaddy had a bit of influence as well. I just don't wanna see her distracted from open-wheel effort by the gee-whizz `n dollars the NASCAR thing represents. She needs to get a checkered flag at Indy.

I want to see her bust F-1!!! Now THAT's a crowd to stonewall her.

I consider her adorable... not just because she's female and pretty. I also consider Lewis Hamilton adorable. They're each charming and talented, able to do some amazing things with equipment what'd make mere mortals wet themselves. Focused, able drivers and given opportunity they just want to prove it.

I find it a bit telling that "motorracingnetwork.com" decided to list only the first FIVE finishers in their li'l box, too.

Makin' hay while th' sun's still out, methinks.
