Hoo boy, I pulled that Benz in today to have a good look at it. YIKES! this things a mess. he's done his own Veggie oil conversion (hint hint!!!). It looks like a rats nest of wires, untrimmed zip ties, hoses and valves and insualting mat. there's stuff unplugged everywhere.
Currently the vacuume system consists of a piece of 3/8ths fuel line with a collection of plastic "T"s that all go nowhere. the only things hooked up are the brake booster and the shift solenoid. Everything else is hanging loose in the engine bay. of course the diesel soaked fuel/vacuume line has collapsed and has rendered what was hooked up, useless.
The left rear trailing arm is rotten and cracked and the wheel has about 10 deg negative camber, the right rear tire was flat, it will not start without a tiny spritz of ether ( that scares the snot outta me) it will not stop without pushing the stop lever on the engine, the hood realease is a coat hanger, and the hood itsself crunches and pops off the cowell. Oh man....
Customer says, just make the booster, tranny, and ignition switch systems work.
He can figure out the HVAC later (I doubt that very much.)
I'll do it. I've made these things work 100% before. minimal operation isen't much of a challange. but it's be easier to start on level ground instead of the hole this pile fell into.
