A resto project on a "new-to-you" LBC can be a lot of fun. Just document, document, DOCUMENT. With this place as a back-up it will be fine.
One of the most challenging resto's I ever did was a mid fifties Aston Martin drop-head. Got it in literal buckets and bits... NO documentation, sources few and far between. Took the better part of a year, a LOT of that was hunting down accurate information. The internet (and in NO small measure our Fearless Leader, Basil) has made finding info on most LBC's a couple hours away at most. Have at it with gusto. This place (and these fine folk) has yer back!
In th' shop we had enough room to lay everything out and go at a project "all at once". Here at th' hovel I'm space limited so I approach a big project as "sections" or "assemblies", and do it a bit at a time.
