It's warm, so I made a start... finally!

After the snow this time last week today was a pleasant 16c. I am yet to wash Baby Bertha down, but I did empty out the box of bits that has been sat in there for ages. It is mostly the brightwork (or at least it used to be!), stuff like door fittings, license plate lamp holder, quarterlights etc. I got a few bits put back on today, but had to crack on with some proper work to pay the bills. Tomorrow should be good too, so will hopefully get some more done. Been looking at garden sheds too, saw one that is 15ft deep, 10ft wide and has 5ft double doors on the front. Would make an ideal dedicated workshop for the Sprite, no?

Pete,
I'll be over in Wales for a couple of months this winter, will you have it ready by then? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
Driving an LHD in the Welsh twisties sounds like fun!
If not, I'll probably be having Spridget withdrawls after a week or so, I'll give you a hand.

I know the plan was to restart the restoration and get it finished for next may, but I have altered this somewhat...
I plan to get the Sprite roadworthy as soon as possible, and get some miles on it.
I have also found a RHD Sprite within 15 minutes of my house that is slowly rotting on its owners driveway. I want to find out if it is a matching numbers example, and if so buy it, and do a nut and bolt resto on it.
As for blasting round Wales in the middle of winter... If it's roadworthy it'll take more than a little wet weather to keep me from the roads round Bala and Snowdonia!

Got sod all done today... After the predictions of another warm, sunny day the weatherman once again fluffed it completely. It was misty and pretty chilly all day, well at least until 20 minutes before I had to go out! The weather forecast at 1:45pm was saying what a nice day it was, and that it should hit 17c at 3pm... well at 3pm I went outside, still misty and I could see my breath!
Tomorrow I have to spend all day in the office, so there's a good chance it'll be sunny and warm! Fortunately I came across a local company that sells Ultrasonic cleaners (if you want to see them at work go to https://www.jaylenosgarage.com and click on the videos tab), so tomorrows lunchtime will be spent popping over to see what they have in stock!
