Its My First Time...And I need Help!

Hey Kim
Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to ask question as you have alredy found out. I am just finishing up my TR6. If one of the many transmissions you have is an overdrive put it in the good car if it doesn't have one. If the TR3 you are talking about has an overdrive and I believe it is the Atype overdrive then it will fit into a TR6.I just put an Atype o/d into my 73 TR6. When you take the car completely apart if thats what you are going to do then buy some POR15 or some other kind of rust protection and just about go crazy with it. just try to keep it off your skin or you will be wearing it around for a few days. I have the Bentley Official Factory Workshop Manuel and it is nice to have along with the parts catalog from Vic British, Moss, or Roadster Factory. You live in Atlanta so they should have a pretty strong Triumph club or British car club. Join them and start going to meetings they have even if your car isn't ready. Thats all I can think about right now but just keep asking questions.
