Oh, I think there's a chance a bucket of KFC might.

Cretin!

Didn't I read it is your Anniversary??
And you're making her cook?

Hmmm: Bucket of KFC and Maine lobster... Yeah, easily confused!

Anyway, if you ever find yourself in the area, we'd be more than pleased to give you a sample of some proper New Orleans fare, even in the middle of Tennessee!

That was yesterday!

And it's MONDAY! Tradition is paramount!

Sorry, Puter has been down awhile and I have had to reinstall a lot of programs.
Forgot what I read When

Hope you enjoyed it Mick

steak and fresh corn and fresh beefsteak tomatoes. mmmmmm.

now you're talking JP.

p.s. I hope you don't husk the corn 'til just before you put it in the pot

Soft shell crabs and stewed maters, here. Would have done white corn too but just got back from a week at OBX and haven't really stocked up at the store yet. Sure makes summer a lot more bearable

We did up Italian sausages and a hot pepper onna Weber, some onions 'n green peppers sautee'd... had to go with Cuban bread for th' wrappers. CAB for swill to wash it all down.

*burp*

May need to consider the red beans and rice in near future.

Mickey, what do they know? Red beans and rice on Mondays is a Louisiana tradition. They don't know what they are missing! Now, that said, and saying your Missus makes the best. Bro, y'all haven't had mine! Full of Chisesi ham, Manda's smoked sausage, lots of secret condiments and spices. Slap yo mamma.....

My humble apologies to all the "mamas"... this place does it for me whenever I'm in NYC...

Oi! Reminds me of Art's Deli in Studio City, Cal. The best corned beef on rye you ever sank your teeth into. That, plus you will always spot some movie-type gnoshing in there. I love Jewish delis.

Corn beef; YES
Cats; NO
I like you Bill!

You know - what's so incredible about red beans and rice - and by extension, most all cajun cooking - is the incredible things that can be done with the simplest of ingredients. Yours sounds good - haven't seen any Chisesi products since... well, can't remember! Do they still have their Italian sausage? One of my favorites back in the day!

By the way, tonight it was turkey tetrazzini, made with the fried turkey I did last Thanksgiving. Gonna have to fast for four days now!
