It's killing me!

I have about 2 hours worth of work to get the '74 running but because of my knee I can't. The knee is much better but standing for extended periods of time & kneeling and leaning are out of the question. Was in the garage earlier just looking for something and I bumped it right on the incision. YEOW!! that hurt and it opened up a little. This sitting around stuff is for the birds!. I'm fine up & down stairs walking around the house but not being able to bend down or kneel is just killing me. TV is getting boring.

The list of mostly little things is as follows:

Gas tank
Peco exhaust and hangars.
Lower radiator Hose
Spark plugs
Y hose from breather
Oil cooler & lines needs
Shifter
Air cleaners
1 Heater hose
Small hoses from Charcoal canister need to be run.
2 wires from trans need to be sorted out but might be just reverse.
Battery cut off switch.
Fill with gas.
Vroom.

AHHHHHHHHRGGGGGGGUH!

Herself nearly had to stand over me with a ball bat while I was recouping from the retinal detachment, to keep me in required nose-down attitude... I know your frustration, Vince.

I was down for months and months with a new steel knee. I feel your pain but don't rush it.

don't feel too bad I'm still having problems from a shoulder reconstruction last February

Recovery is never fun. I got a toe joint replacement awhile back, drove my wife nuts during recovery.

That's a nice looking engine bay on your B!

Good luck, don't rush the recovery. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Thanks. I am definitly not rushing. After working all day I come home and put my leg up & watch TV. I can finally walk up & down stairs with only minor pain. Doc says I'm doing fine and to keep doing what I am doing.

Thanks for the engine bay compliments. Another reason I'm antsy is 5 days before my surgery, that photo was taken and a few hours before that it was a greasy mess with no engine in it.

Just a few hours is all I ask.

Oh and added to the list is the PECO Exhaust & header system. I have the header in but the exhaust needs to be clamped into place.

Engine bay looks great, and you do have a lot to look forward to. These redos take time. Look at that list, and think of what you can do. It has become a winter project, so don't get in a hurry and keep up the great work.

I like the look of the engine bay. I know how you feel about sitting around. I had back surgery in Feb, and still can't work. They tell me that one more surgery and I will be good to go. It is frustrating not being able to bend down, or stand for very long.

My list of things to do is about the same as yours. Hopefully you will be up and running soon.
