It's just a game

Very sad.

I... M U S T n o t C O M M E N T :madder:

As usual, there's more to the story, so it may not be about the game:

"When the facts come out, we will learn that this is not a retaliation for being ejected from the game," Berry said. "There are questions as to the causation of Mr. Bieniewicz's injuries."

This is why I don't like current "journalism"...

Does it matter? If the player struck the ref for ANY REASON it's still a punishable offense. The ref is not there to refute any silly claims.
In the end, the facts will come out so let's wait and see.

I'm with Elliot, doesn't matter why and the "facts" so far sound like BS. No one knows his "intent".

If he bit him, couldn't you charge him with attempted murder; couldn't you say he "intended" to eat him....

It's BS.... the whole thing is BS. It never should have happened in a game no matter the reason and no one can say what his "intent" was unless he said, "Hold ma beer while I beat this guy to death".....and then he ~STILL~ may not mean to kill him or cause "great" harm.....

No one knows what he was thinking anymore than we "know" exactly what Doc isn't posting....unless it's heard it directly from him....it's conjecture.....

Just my personal thought....
Single-man refereed games for adults should be banned. twenty-two against one is not good odds.

I agree, If a player goes off the deep end and breaks the rules, then kick him out of the game, fine him and let him set on the bench for a while. Beating up on a ref, he should be banned for the season! If he created death or life long injuries, he should be banned for life. Of course that's after the courts get done with him.:encouragement: JMHO. PJ
