....It still makes me angry :censored1:

I have been expecting an order for some parts for my wife's car. This afternoon I got an email from the supplier telling me that the parts were delivered. I proceeded to my front door and no box......I look all around, and no box.
I finally found the box in my open garage. Fedex delivered it and stuck it in my garage.
Since my garage door was open and my car parked in there all the driver had to do was ring the bell and give me the box.

USPS has set packages that don't fit in the mailbox on the fence column next to the mailbox (at the street). I guess that it didn't matter that it was raining or that we weren't home. Too far of a walk to the covered porch.

Even when packages are left on the porch, no one rings the door bell any more.

At least they brought t to your house....

Where I live the mailboxes are 1.2 miles from the house at the entrance to the neighborhood - if it won't fit in the letter box it doesn't get delivered. Sometimes you'll get a notice that it was attempted delivery, often not. After 3 attempts it goes back to the sender as undeliverable. And even if you get a notice, you have to take time off from work to get to the post office only to be told "oh its out for redelivery" even though they know it won't fit in the box. I don't have anything sent to me at the house for this reason. I've lost multiple packages this way and almost lost several more.

UPS and FedEx will just toss it on someone's steps (with no real care of who) and expect the neighbors to figure out who it belongs to. I've had many occasions where I've come home to some random package for some random person sitting on the ground in my driveway, or found post-it notes from neighbors who went to every house and left a note saying they ordered a package and if it shows up please call them.

After reading your post, I feel I shouldn’t complain. It’s the old adage that someone else may have it worse.
