After a brief respite, I'm back.

I have lots to report and although the Grey Lady isn't quite finished, we're very close!

Cheers,

Frank

Pix please!

Doc: Just now frying up some peppers, eggs and homemade Italian sausage (the real kind that actually hangs in Uncle Joe's garage). Slice open some Corropolese hard, sesame seed rolls, and ah heaven!

Promise that I'll post some pix real soon. :yesnod:

...ummm, just no pix of th' food, please. Been too long since I've had Grandma's home cookin'. I'd be compelled to start lickin' the monitor. :smirk:

Now the rest of my day will be spent recallin' the smells and tastes.

Maybe we can discuss this in the shed sometime. You should be able to duplicate everything except perhaps the bread. I'm no bread expert (except for the eating) but I have heard that water chemistry is critical. years ago a guy I knew, from Philly, moved to central FL and tried opening a cheese steak joint. He soon had to close because despite duplicating all the ingredients and equipment, he said the rolls were not good. Finally traced it to water chemistry. Even tried shipping Philly water by tank truck - really. Eventually had to close. I never realized water made the difference! Weird.

That is the answer as to the often asked question by migrating snow birds; "why can't we ever get good bread in Florida????"

I always told them that if they stopped bragging about how warm it was all winter while we froze, they might find a good loaf once in a while, but they can't help themselves.

Welcome back Frank!

Dick
