Alas, I've got a lost weekend in store. My wife and I were scheduled to fly to LA and spend the weekend with a friend who just moved there. Lot's of fun stuff scheduled, from some fancy restaurants to beach and hiking to the Hollywood sign (which I've always wanted to do). Just my luck, I came down with strep throat a few days ago, and I'm totally bed-ridden. I curse ye, strep throat!

Made for a good laugh this morning.
Weather here is dreary, but we're still off tomorrow morning for a short road trip with my local British car club. Taking the B down to Southern Utah. Should be a good little jaunt, with some very British weather (cool, maybe a bit damp).

Most of the stuff the place is filled with is crap. the food is junk, and the rest is plastic. We have been sold a bill of goods. Better clothes are to be had cheaper from thrift stores. Healthier food is to be found cheaper elsewhere. As for plastic waste of time products, well , perhaps one can get those items there for cheap. Sure, Cheetohs and their ilk, disposable plates and glasses and poorly made cookware and the like can be found there also, but I do not think that this sort of product actually saves money in the long run. They prey upon the weak and unwitting, while local merchants are driven to the poor house. Due to greed, television, and the rest of the advertising media our country is slipping into a morass from which it will be difficult to extricate ourselves. Our health, minds, and children are at risk. AND WE LAUGH! HA! {I left out the politics as I am keeping it lite] --elrey

They may have low prices on stuff you can't get elsewhere (and wouldn't want to). But their prices on name brand stuff you can get everywhere aren't any better than say, Target's.
