Don't know how the photos will come out but at least I tried. If they come out I'll be more surprised than you! I added an attachment just in case. Well it's finally done. Ben "tweeking" the carbs and timing and she now runs great. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif PJ -- Use the attachment!

Beautiful....love the color, did u polish that windshield frame? I've been meaning to do mine.

Thanks for the compliment. I did polish the windshield frame. I have three windshields and the metal on all of them was scrached very bad. It was either have one of them powder coated to match the original color and as we don't have anyone close who does that work, I would have to send them out. I have no idea how long it would take to get the parts back, so, I polished one in my shop. Looks nice. Not original, but I didn't want to take a chance and not have the car done for Gatlinburg. After installing the new glass, I'm not sure if I want to tackle another one. Well, at least not right away. Maybe in a year or two, or even three! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif PJ

Car looks great.
Can the frame be anodized?

I love the polished frame, it looks great...more motivation for me to do mine.

I think there is a "kit"? that you can anodize your own parts. I'm not sure if Eastwood has one or not. You can get parts professionally anodized, but as I understand it's pretty expensive. I guess about the same price as chroming, which has gone out of site in the past few years do to environmental regulations and restrictions. Powder coating done right, would look good and be as close as you could get to the original finish without breaking the bank. But the polished finish looks real nice. PJ

The reason I ask is that one of midgets frames is pretty scuffed up. I have a Scotch Brite wheel in a bench grinder that gives me a close finish and there is an anodizer across the ctreet from my shop. We use them for some of our projects but I have not given the frame to him yet. For a lot of the little stuff we do, it is only a $75 lot charge so it does not seem that expensive. I was waiting for another order to come in & I will throw my stuff in to have done.

Vping, anodizing for a bugeye is over 700 dollars. Thats just the cockpit suround, windsheld and windsheld supports.

Now that said, please may I have the name and phone number of the anadozer across the street. Would love to check with him unless you can get him to give you a ball park estimate for me. The guy in Calif. seems expensive to me but then what do I know.

Thanks

Jack

PS: I can provide a photo of the parts if necessary.
