It's definitely an illness...

...a mental illness that starts with buying the first MG. I can't stop, I must have every MG I see. Well, it started with a phone call...
Caller- "Are you the guy that buys MG's?"
Me- "Well, I own two right now."
Caller- "I've got two for $400, interested?"
Me, with fishhook still in mouth- "Where do you live"

Result- I now own 4 MGBs and a garage full of MG parts. Along with the two cars I now have a veritable mini Moss Motors in my garage. Four hardtops, 3 engines and trannys, and bin after bin of new MG parts still in the boxes...uh-oh, here come the nice men in the white jackets...

If I had the money everytime I've seen cars I wanted for under $1000, I'd be the unique autoist... Unique 'cause evertime I find one, it's a different car, and usually one I have never seen before.

Thank God I'm not the only one!
I've actually been turning them down lately. I think the last one was a '63 B, fairly decent, with a 5 main in it, no OD, but the original 3 main and OD went with it, for 2500 bucks. A friend bought it and eBay'ed it to Italy.

Ar eyou sure it's the guys in the white jackets, or do they have an MG club logo on them? I think they heard of your stash, and are looking for deals.

I held off for a long time, but yeah, now I have two. But I'll part it out soon and it will be gone. Boo hoo!

I'm looking at two Midgets, one to rebuild and one for parts. If I ever get enough $$$ I'm going to have more MGs restored and I would like to have an Austin Healy.

After the Superbowl, I think I might go Italian! Just to spice thing up a bit!!!!!! Actually, I've been leaning toward italian since I was 12 years old.... But I'll keep the british stuff too!!!!! No loss here, just simple learning experiences!

LLAngus- several midget parts came with the deal, I won't have use for them, I will take inventory and let you know.

An illness for which there is no known cure!

Kenny, no harm there. Alfa and Fiat both have made some fine cars over the years. Masarati and Ferrari as well /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif$$$$$$$$$$$

attached is a pic of one trip we made. the truck is so loaded down with motors, parts, and stuff that we had to drive 40 mph all the way back home down the interstate. the car is loaded down too!

..."Just Say No!".
It doesen't work for me either - down to

Just say no, was the anti-drug campaign started by Nancy Reagan.
