:cryin: It's snowing, again! About 2" here and looking like we'll get more. Tomorrow's "Spring Thaw" at the Old Car Garage in Albuquerque. Free oil changes and whatever donations are made, they go to charity! Was looking forward to taking Agatha, not for the oil change but for a chance to contribute, wish the garage owner a Happy Birthday, eat free hot dogs and drinks and chat up a storm. Alas it's not meant to be for Agatha. I am still going and taking the trusty 4 Wheel Drive vehicle! I am sure Agatha will understand.

And what's on your list for the weekend?

Looks like a day trip to the Spring Brits in the Delaware. Talked the mistress into taking the spit on the trip..Should be fun.. My first Brit show.

Tonight? Just chilling at home

Tomorrow? A local photomeet to a local farm, and then going to an evening concert for the Plaid Tongued Devils ( https://www.thedevils.com/TheDevils/HOME.html ) and apparently a friend of mine twisted my arm into photographing it...

Sunday? After (likely) getting home late from the concert, up early as it's our first car show of the year, and with a great forecast it should be a big turnout of all sorts of stuff

Should be a good weekend I think...

Tomorrow's the big day and I'm bowing out...I'm leaving the garage to the boys to clean and shine the transmission, install it along with the motor. I will be finishing up a quilt I started over Christmas.

Snow? We hit 70 degrees today & had the kayaks in the water before breakfast. Saw a gazillion turtles (we are easily amused early in the spring) & an otter. Beaver activity has been incredible - we saw numerous trees down with diameters well over a foot. Went to see Schooner Fare tonight (a local group that's done pretty well nationally) & plan to spend Saturday doing "wheel work" at a nearby pottery studio. Sunday is probably a cleanup day in the garden unless I can get out of it.

Some friends brought their new guideboat down today to show it off and I am terribly jealous. Anybody want to buy a canoe?

Seventy degrees and clear skies, today. Snow in New Mexico, sun and warmth in Wisconsin, and central Maine. Someone has a sense of humour!

John, my favourite animal is the otter, I have never seen one in the wild........

I spent the day clearing out the garage of the winter's debris, and switching the snow tyres off the daily driver. What am I on about? My ONLY car.... who am I kidding?

Friday night was Ted Neeley in Jesus Christ Superstar. He looked too old for the roll, but then he has been "Jesus" longer than Jesus was Jesus.

Today is the big First Birthday Party at America On Wheels. There is a talk on the Postwar British Car Invasion, the local Pinewood Derby, a visit by Herbie for the 40th anniversary of the "Love Bug" movie, live music, birthday cake, and more. Then tonight it is babysit our granddaughter so our son can go out with his wife to celebrate his birthday.

And tomorrow we have the kids over for his birthday dinner here.

And maybe by next weekend Fagin will be paroled and back in my garage ready to roll.

Big weekend planned here!

Finish weeding the raspberry canes, cut pea-brush, prepare beds for parsnip, peas, and onions.

And about five minutes ago the drive belt on the clothes dryer snapped. Looks like some dryer repair ahead.

Will this mad mad circus of delight ever end?

EIGHTY DEGREES and sunny weather predicted here today!!!

We're heading out on the VA Garden Club tour of historic homes here in old central VA. First is "Ashland", built in 1862 near Madison, VA, nestled next to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Then, to "Morven" former home of John Klugge (multimedia mogul). He donated it to UVA who recently restored it to it's former glory. Built in 1812 on King George II land grand property, restored to it's former glory by UVA (Klugge donated it to UVA recently). Thomas Jefferson once owned the land and the origninal home was for Jefferson's son-in-law.

These places are so beautiful and inspiring, we try to get landscaping and decorating ideas on these historic tours. Feels like we're over in the "old" country, really.

A grand way to spend my birthday, I say. :yesnod:

Then, it's off to my favorite pub for a pint this evening!

Cheers to you all, have a great day!

My first photo post! I did it! Now all I have to do is remember how I did it!!! Today is going to be a fine day. Into the shower, dress and off to the SPRING THAW in my 4 wheel drive vehicle!
