Today at about 4PM We cranked the engine on my TR3A and it started! I was so excited about that whole process, I may not be able to sleep tonight!
There are some problems but it run's! The rest of the restoration will go fast now. I was really worried that it wouldn't start. I was very nervous about giving it a try. I just had to share it with the forum.

Cheers, Tinkerman

I have been following your progress here on the forum and if there are any problems, I'm sure you will remedy them completely. You have little faith Dick........I KNEW it would start! Congratulations! Nothing like that smell of raw gas and English exhaust in the garage.

Congrats Herr Doktor...

Great news Dick. Another big step is done. Keep moving on.

Dick,

That's great! I recall it was definitely a milestone for cranking the engine on the TR4A for the first time and actually having it start and run since it was the first and so far the only engine that I've rebuilt.

Scott

Congrats Dick. Quite a milestone to be sure!

Cheers,
David

Outstanding! And you should be excited! I've only rebuilt two wet liner engines, very nervous both times but it feels great when they fire up.

Congratulations Dick. Remember that feeling after rebuilding the engine in the six ... Hopefully I'll be starting my three soon too. Cheers, Mike
