Fortunately it was something simple..yup - TIMING, as all you helpful people suggested. Just like in life...it's everything.

I put on a new cap and new wires, which helped..it almost started. Then with everything at TCD for #1, It seemed that the rotor was pointing to a wire one before the one I had going to #1 Cylinder, in effect it was pointing to the #2 cylinder (Firing Order being 1,3,4,2).

So I switched the wires accordingly on the engine. The wire I had going to #2, now went to Cyl. #1, #1 went to 3 and so on).

Sprayed some started fluid in...Fired up the starter and VROOM!! Ran for about 5 second still fluid used up. That's Enough...it works.

Time for beer and a bad movie!! Thanks to all.

congrats - Hurray!

Well done.

Thanks....Hopefully like Miss Agatha I'll be on the road soon.

Thanks for the congrats!

Now for the rewiring/the hydraulics/the carb...but it runs!!!

And that is a major step and a load off.

When Miss Agatha ran the first time I was elated. Had nothing hooked up but starter and a hot wire to the coil. I could not wait.
