My official countdown to spring. Yesterday and today we had the "snowfall of the winter" (both inches) the garage is mild enough to work in and SWMBO and son are watching Lost. Time to start the list of what needs doing.

On the list.

1. get carb refurbished.
2. get overflow can repaired.
3. properly align wheels including centering steering wheel.
4. remove and check oil pan for leaks around rim.
5. change oil.
6. get wheels properly balanced.
7. figure out short in fuse #1
8. figure out why headlights go off when left turn signal is turned on. (I think it is a ground)
9. replace horns.
10.get tonneau repaired
11.finish sorting top.
12. Clean Clean Clean.
13. Drive Drive Drive.

Tonight.

1. Carb removed and ready to get repaired.
2. Overflow can removed and ready to get repaired.
3. grille off for access to horns and wiring.
4. shop a little cleaner.

Let us Pray

Dear Lord, let it warm up soon.
Please keep us from the Prince of Darkness
Amen.

Funny how you can be heading towards Spring and we're still very much in Winter here! Good luck on your project list.

Emphasis on task 13 ;-)

JP, I don't know if you've ever had the front of these down but look real good at where the "wedges" go in the front rail. Dumbest design I've ever seen.

Not sure exactly where you mean but I'm guessing the bottom front of the engine. If so, yes, you're right staggeringly stupid. I think I managed to get it sealed when I put it back together but I'll look very close.
