Good afternoon folks!
So my 15yr old son and I completed a 5yr rebuild of my fathers 1963 Sprite mk2 nationals G production racecar. It’s got the 1098cc that’s been reworked +.040 with late ‘60’s early 70’s Hepalite aluminum flat top pistons. Running and original AH 649 race cam. Upgraded 1275 aluminum flywheel and 1275 clutch/pressure plate set up.
So unfortunately on its first weekend out on the track since 1979… I spun the #3 connecting rod bearing damaging the crankshaft. So I’m looking for a replacement 2inch 1098cc crankshaft. Is there anyone out in the Austin Healey universe that might be able to help me? I appreciate y’all’s time. Here’s a picture of me at VIR about a month ago!
