I wish I remember where I saw it, but some time ago (like maybe 10 years) I saw a post by somebody who had been involved in creating the replica used in the movie. It was an interesting read, as it apparently was a real mongrel of a thing. They whipped it together in only like a month, but it looked great on screen. That's where I (think I) remember the detail about the boot lid being from an MGB.

I saw my TR7 on ebay twice in the last month...and it's still fo sale since no one ponied up the cash!!
