These are pictures of my '75 TR6. I purchased it 2 years ago with 14,166 original miles. We drove it from Seattle to Alabama on the original Michelin Redlines. i have since removed the original wheels and tires and replpaced them with the KN wheels seen in the pictures.
The seats need new foam in the side bolsters. The original foam is crumbling. I'm the 7th or 8th owner. One of the POs replaced the dash with a Teak dash. The AC was removed sometime in the past. Otherwise it's original.
As for the asking price on the EBay car. I think the price is reasonable. Particularly when you consider the amount spent by several members on their restorations/modifications.
If someone is serious about the car I recommend you contact the seller. End the auction with a deposit then go inspect the car in person. Or get in touch with a VTR inspector and pay to have it inspected.

I should add that there are still vey nice unrestored cars out there. They show up occasionally for reasonable prices. From what I can tell about the one on EBay. It appears to be a "survivor". And worth investigating for the serious buyer.
Although EBay presents us with a huge assortment of cars and parts. The auction atmosphere is a real disadvantage. particularly when the item is a car. The time line, logistics and unknown interested parties are all working against us.
I found my car in Hemmings Motor News. Unfortunately Hemmimngs has lost ground to EBay, but it is still a good source for cars.

And IMO they are worth seeking and enjoying. I have yet to see a 'preservation class' or such at any of the car events I have attended but these cars are indeed crowd pleasers even if they show some wear & tear (aka patina).
European visitors in particular seem to have a heightened appreciation for the survivor cars.
The dilemma of course, particularly if the car is driven and enjoyed, is what to leave alone and what to freshen up.

I sort of figured the TR6 wouldn't fetch the reserve. I see it on Maine Craigslist.org for $20K so I figure that must be the reserve. I think if they are smart, they will offer it to that one bidder for his bid. $18,500.00 is still good money for that car.
