Is this real?

The car is only one hour away. https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967-Aust...1QQcmdZViewItem Another ebay scam?

Send them an e-mail, and ask a few questions about it. If your that close insist on a viewing before any bidding...

I'd be a little wary of the pre-approved bidder requirement.

The BIN price is absurdly low.

The vendor hasn't bought or sold anything recently that was automotive- its all been pillowcases and music DVDs so that seems a little odd too- maybe its someone using their wife's account, but the account has been a little active recently so I'd doubt it been hijacked....

e-mail them, and try to get a phone number, too, if you can....

It'd be nice if it were a real bargain, but I'd not be surprized if were something else....

I saw this too, emailed asking for phone number and appt to come see the car, *no answer* at all. I assume this is some kind of scam using a hijacked eBay account. Usually these ads are pulled within a few days. If anyone gets an answer on this ad please post results here, thanks /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

This is only about 8 miles from my house. Let me know if he ever contacts you and I can go see it for you. Something looks wrong with the price vs the pictures.

I reported this to eBay as apparent fraud as the "seller" tried to respond to my "ask a question" from another eBay site using a different language (even though the actual listed seller is USA registered). I got a follow-up from eBay tonight indicating this is a fraudulent auction where the "seller" tries to get funds sent via "second chance offers." Anyway, as everybody figured anyway, this was a scam all the way /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

Wow eBay has already removed this auction. That was FAST /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

That's funny, I got an email indicating the car was in Linclon, Maine. Got the same warning from eBay. At least we can root these guys out...
