Is this message really needed?

We need a new thread called "I Had a Teacher who......"
My Junior year high school history teacher was Joe Abbenda, (not certain of the spelling).
He was a former Mr. America and Mr. Universe.
Some of the kids said he would bend a nickle for them.
I always thought highly of his educational skills.
During an interview of Arnold Schwarzenegger about 'muscle men mental' attributes, he mentioned Joe by name.
Same year, my English teacher was famous for his relationship with one of the co-eds.

These days those teachers would be perp walked on the news, back then they just wanted them to go away. My teacher was in the first half of the 70s, ended up in a commune in Texas.

I had a junior high art teacher ( yeah,I don't know what I was doing in that class either)
who drag raced a '55 Chevy,& later road raced a TR3.He was right behind William Snell when
he crashed,& was killed (no roll bar). That begat the Snell Foundation.
He was a real quiet kind of person who you'd never suspect of doing things like that.
He later gave me some pictures he had of the races, his 100-4,& TR3.
He later developed Alzheimers & passed away.RIP Laurald Stebbins.
