Is This Guy Crazy or Not ???

OK you all think that deal was insane, well look at this one. This was listed on Ebay last week and was bid up to $2200 and did not meet reserve. It was bought by a dealer on the east coast who specializes in this kind of thing and is advertised for "only $5,950". Makes the BN2 look like a deal at $8,000.

I guess anything is possible.

We had an enterprising fellow here at the office who would pick up trash items from the curbside and then sell them on ebay! Seriously, one such item was an old discarded Victorian bird cage, which yielded well over $100.

Wow, slight "overbite" on that bottom photo...

The BN2 doesn't even come with an extra bonnet, or poison ivy....

:eeek: Well, obviously this is a car that has been raced. The hood pins, roll bar etc. That could be a highly modified engine that may, or may not, be any good. However, it is a "two seater" and does have what appears to be a satisfactory grille. Basically you're buying a title, most all else will need replacing.

The restored car would be like one of those dinosaur reconstructions you see in the museum where the only authentic part is a small fragment of a toe bone.

So how would you know if it is a "dinosour car?" And does it really matter? I don't think so, it depends upon the quality of the build and the parts that went into it. Another Healey is back on the road and I would think that to be a good thing.

just making a jocular comparison. If someone has the intestinal fortitude and the considerable resources to turn that into a drivable car, more power to em.
