Car is under construction and has no drivetrain yet. Once I get everything the way I like it I'll drop the engine/tranny in.

Hows your gout? Hope it's improving rapidly! It pretty close in size to the original, but it's not as deep which will help tremendously! I've managed to collect a lot of steering wheels over the years and some feel better than others. I really like originality, but there are a bunch of good looking LBC steering wheels out there...I even have an early 70s Nardi wheel that's in restoration.

I consider a steering wheel to be a very personal thing. It's your main interface with the car, so get the one YOU love the most.
That one looks good. Didn't know the splines were the same, though it's not surprising, given the parts sharing in the British motor industry at the time.

Since I'm installing a 5 speed and I haven't cut my tower yet it's just there for looks. Once the tranny is in I'll try different positions until I get what I want, but I really like the original look.

I had that same wheel on Bugsy I, my '68 Sprite. Looked fine, the Sprite Lightning Bolt Horn Push fit perfectly. I might consider one of those pending a spoked wood wheel later on down the road as budget allows.

Bought it back...LOL...wish I could buy back my FJ40. I had first right of refusal on the 40 but somebody with rocks in there head paid the guy I sold it to a minor fortune for it. Sigh

Those prices went silly quick. I sold my last FJ40 at a bit of a loss, happy to pass it on. A year or two later it would have sold for 2x or 3x the price. Ah well.
