The Crypt Car started today and beefed up
my courage and left the safety of my neighborhood.

Pulling away from a stop light, I pulled the gear
shift into 2nd and the shift lever popped right out.

At least I was in a gear.

The Crypt Car pulls stunts like this all the time.
A truly hateful beast.

Didn't you just ask a couple days ago how to remove the shift lever? Guess the Crypt Car just trying to show you the quick an easy way!

That happened to me when I was delivering my Etype to it's new owner....as I downshifted into the corner to enter his street. So not only did I hand him the keys, but the shift lever as well.
 
The Crypt Car is the Devil's own spawn for sure.

Of course the PO had the hand brakes non-functional.
The new set arrived this past weekend; It was not a
priority item what with the car dead for 10 months.

Long story short- I took a short trip this morning
over to get a mechanic's $$ estimate for a few things.
Parked on slight down grade and left Crypty in gear
when I shut down the engine. Got my price and hopped
into the Crypt Car.

Crypty refused to idle w/out the gas pedal. SOB!
The Beast stalled as soon as I switched feet to
use the clutch--meanwhile I'm rolling forward
toward the back end of a parked car!!

Many folks at the garage watching and laughing at
this Keystones Cops car and driver!
