Hey fellas.

Recently while driving my B around, i've knowtest that at the lights at idle with my clutch in and foot on the break. The cars idle seems to drop from the set 900 to around 700. It doesnt go too low but it seems to be misfiring every now and then.

Ive stalled it a few times at the lights because of this, its almost like it builds up a rich mixture when i go from the brake to the accelerator pedal.

Any ideas?

Jarrod, this is usually indicative of worn thrust washers, allowing the crank to move forward when you hit the clutch.
Try using a pry bar, and see if you get noticeable movement at the crank pulley by pushing it back, and gently prying it forward. Or, try to push the crank back, and have someone push in the clutch whilst you watch and see if the crank moves. As the end float should only be in the .1mm range, visible movement of the crank should be investigated further.
Worn thrust washers can cause the cheek of the crank to contact the block, with very expensive results.

Ill look into it further, chances are ill let my mechanic check it out. I'm not confident on my abilities other than the basics:p
