Is that a V-8?

Yesterday while riding up to the British Car Show in Hendersonville N.C. one of those Honda S2000 roadsters
comes up from behind the BE on the highway.
I was doing about 60 mph. After following us for a bit the Honda pulls alongside and gives us the thumbs up.
Then he hits the skinny pedal to pull away. Not so fast my friend.
I punch Mimi to the floor. It was great to see the look
on the Honda guy as Mimi stayed right along side as he accelerated.
After a moment he downshifted making that Honda SCREAM as he pulled away.
Then he slowed and we did it all again but he didn't down shift again.
We took turns screaming past each other and then slowing to do it again.
:driving:
He finally pulled in front of the BE and when I signaled to
turn off so did the Honda.
We took a spirited drive through some twisties and then
at the first place to pull over he gave a signal and waived his hand and motioned us to follow.
Nice Honda. After market wheel/tire combo and custom exhaust.
It was louder than Mimi.
First words from the Dude : "You got a V8 in that thing?"
I about died laughing. I told him it was a 4 banger that started life with 41 HP. I explained the motor is smaller than a Harley Davidson's.
He offered an even trade for the Sprite.
I politely declined and then he says: "I bet that thing is worth about $80 grand."
I laughed out loud and told him they were cheap cars. Probably
worth about $10 grand.
He shook his head in disbelief.
Then I explained it was a 1960 car. He was stunned.
We talked for a bit then he left and headed back to the highway.
The car show was fun. SUPER nice BE was entered. OEW with red hood. Lots of big Healeys. (drool)
Bunch of beautiful XKEs too. (more drool)
Grabbed some sushi downtown and made our way home.
I was grinning the whole day.

Great, David!! I love it when that happens.

S2000 is supposed to be a machine too. Good job. Your car is worth more than 10k, right?
